Attributes in Tyranny are the stats characters use to determine their effectiveness in combat and various actions within the game. Attributes determine the base values of Skills. Each skill has a primary and a secondary attribute that contribute towards the skill’s rank. Primary attributes increase the skill by 1.5x the Attribute value, while secondary attributes increase the skill by 0.5x. Attributes also impact secondary statistics such as resistances.
When you level up, you gain one Attribute point to spend in increasing one of the Attributes which in turn increases your effectiveness with the skills they govern. Increasing an Attribute costs 1 point until the Attribute reaches 19. To raise an Attribute from 19 to 20 costs 2 points.
